1. "They ought not to be pressed into the ranks of Christ's army without being told what the warfare entails."
"A religion which costs nothing is worth nothing."
2. Salvation by Jesus Christ involves submitting oneself to God's love (grace, mercy) and God's authority/judgement ( sin, self-centeredness)
3. In and of his own strength, man will fall back into sinful ways. We need to count the costs and rely upon the Holy Spirit.
4. This chapter was FILLED with Christian livign challenges. The "count the cost items from 112 - 114 are great to consider/use/pray about.
I need to take time to consider these specific items.

Self-righteousness as it relates to my holiness and the holiness of others is a serious battle.
