A Foolish Post

This week's Fighter verse is 1st Corinthians 1:18.
"For the Word of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing but to us who are being saved it is the power of God."

As part of the Fight Night study this Wednesday night we watched Torchlighters: The Jim Elliot Story.  HERE is the note sheet from that study

By showing a cartoon in an adult Bible study, I am in no way insulting people's intelligence.
It is my prayer that watching this story will challenge/inspire young and adult while making adults aware of some great resources out there for children.

Jim Elliot has a popular quote that I believe connects well with this week's Fighter Verse.
"He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose."

1 John Lesson 1

This week the Genesis class started its new study of 1 John.

We looked at 1 John 1:1 - 2:11.

In this post, there are a couple of different resources.

This study is going to focus on how to study God's Word and how to read the Bible with someone else.

Each week in class we are going to read an extended passage of scripture and make some observations on the passage
