What a weekend?!?!

the severe rainstorms here in northeast pa have caused quite a bit of flooding.
it also caused a water main break here in the clark summit area. repair crews are trying to find the source of the break. there are water reserve trucks in the area for drinking water. right now we still have water but we are not sure how long it will last.

they are not sure when the problem is going to be corrected. if the problem is long term, the big issues on campus will be showers and toilets.

The picture at the top of the page is showing the port-a-johns they have started setting up around campus if we need to start using them.

Please pray the problem would be taken care of as soon as possible.

One of the great things I love about being on campus

One of the great things I love about being on campus at BBC is the music in the air.

Every hour the bells in Jackson Hall ring out a hymn. This morning, after spending about two hours in the library editing papers and reading books, I walked out of the library and the hymn "All Creatures of Our and King" began playing.

What a great reminder for me that even in the midst of studying, working, going to class or whatever I am doing I need to lift up my voice and sing Alleluia to God.

All creatures of our God and King
Lift up your voice and with us sing,
Alleluia! Alleluia!
Thou burning sun with golden beam,
Thou silver moon with softer gleam!

Refrain
O praise Him! O praise Him!

Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!

Thou rushing wind that art so strong
Ye clouds that sail in Heaven along,
O praise Him! Alleluia!
Thou rising moon, in praise rejoice,
Ye lights of evening, find a voice!
Refrain

Thou flowing water, pure and clear,
Make music for thy Lord to hear,
O praise Him! Alleluia!
Thou fire so masterful and bright,
That givest man both warmth and light.
Refrain

Dear mother earth, who day by day
Unfoldest blessings on our way,
O praise Him! Alleluia!
The flowers and fruits that in thee grow,
Let them His glory also show.
Refrain

And all ye men of tender heart,
Forgiving others, take your part,
O sing ye! Alleluia!
Ye who long pain and sorrow bear,
Praise God and on Him cast your care!
Refrain

And thou most kind and gentle
Death,Waiting to hush our latest breath,
O praise Him! Alleluia!
Thou leadest home the child of God,
And Christ our Lord the way hath trod.
Refrain

Let all things their Creator bless,
And worship Him in humbleness,
O praise Him! Alleluia!
Praise, praise the Father, praise the Son,
And praise the Spirit, Three in One!
Refrain
