GENERAL (Questions for each chapter)
1. "It is an utter mistake to suppose that the believer who feels assurance is resting on anything he sees in himself."

2. The reason we can rest confidently is because
God is faithful
Jesus died on the cross and rose from the dead
The Holy Spirit is with us

3. We are saved and justified as sinners, redeemed sinners, justified sinners, and renewed sinners.

4. This chapter on ASSURANCE is full of how to directions and thoughts.
"Labor for it. Strive after it. Pray for it. Give the Lord no rest till you "know whom you have believed."

Specifically, I need to be rehearsing the Gospel more and more for myself. Memorizing scripture.

5. (1) The Biblical examples of Peter, Paul, Job and John. (2) Modern examples (3) God's Word - to believe decidedly when God promises decidely.

6. "If you have not got an assured hope our your own acceptance in Christ, resolve this day to seek it." (162)
