"What a man does it the touchstone of faith. So, true faith, which alone justifies, is expressed by what a man does not by what he presumes. The man who lives faithfully is the justified man (although he is not justified by living faithfully). Deedless faith cannot save, not because works are the ground of justification, but because the lack of works is the evidence of the absence of real faith."
